CNC machining centers are generally divided into vertical machining centers and horizontal machining centers. The advantages of this multi-axis CNC machine tool are: the spindle structure is relatively simple, the spindle rigidity is good, and the manufacturing cost of CNC machining parts is low. However, the ordinary worktable cannot be designed too large, and the load capacity is also small, especially when the rotation angle of the A axis is ≥90°, the CNC machined parts will produce a large bearing torque during cutting.
(2) The vertical spindle head rotates.
The advantage of this kind of multi-axis CNC machine tool is that the spindle CNC machining is very flexible, and the worktable can also be designed to be very large. When using a spherical milling cutter to machine the surface of a part, when the center line of the tool is perpendicular to the machined surface, the surface quality of the CNC machined part cut by the apex is poor due to the linear velocity of the apex of the spherical milling cutter.
The spherical milling cutter processes the workpiece at an angle relative to the CNC machined parts, avoiding the cutting of the tool tip, ensuring a certain linear speed, and improving the surface quality of the CNC machined parts. This is very difficult for the worktable rotating machining center.
The characteristic of multi-axis CNC machining is that multi-axis CNC machining has the following characteristics:
(1) Reduce the benchmark conversion and improve the accuracy of CNC machining parts. The integration of the multi-axis CNC machining process not only improves the efficiency of CNC machining, but also because the CNC machining parts need to be clamped once during the entire machining process, the accuracy of the CNC machining is easier to be guaranteed.
(2) Reduce the number and footprint of fixtures. Although the price of a unit in a multi-axis CNC machining center is high, the number of fixtures, workshop area and equipment maintenance costs are reduced due to the shortening of the CNC machining chain and the reduction of the number of equipment.
(3) Shorten the production process chain of CNC machining parts and simplify production management. The complete CNC machining of multi-axis CNC machine tools greatly shortens the production process chain. Since the machining task is only handed over to one workpiece, it not only simplifies production management and scheduling, but also significantly improves transparency.
The more complex the CNC machining parts, the more obvious its advantages. As the production process chain of CNC machining parts is shortened, the number of CNC machining parts is inevitably reduced, thereby simplifying production management, thereby reducing production operation and management costs.
(4) Shorten the new product development cycle. For aerospace, automotive and other companies, some new CNC machining parts and forming molds have complex shapes and high precision. Therefore, a multi-axis CNC machining center with high flexibility, high precision, high integration and complete CNC machining capabilities can be used. It solves the precision and cycle problems of complex CNC machined parts in the process of new product development, greatly shortens the development cycle, and improves the yield rate of CNC machined parts.
